it is quite obvious lol am means Daylight (morning) and pm means Midnight (afternoon). There is no deeper way to explain I don't think anyway lol but there you go hopefully that helped lol.
From the Latin words meridians (midday), ante(before), and the term antemeridian (a.m) means before midday, and post meridiem ( p.m) means after midday.
A.M stands for Ante Meridiem means before mid day (before 12AM )and P.M stands for Post Meridiem means after mid day (after 12 AM). These two words are Latin words.
am stands for ante-meridiem which is before the Sun has crossed the meridian line and pm stands for post-meridiem which is fter the Sun has crossed the meridian line.
AM is before noon. PM is after midday. AM is midnight to Noon and PM is Noon to Midnight.
A.M. and P.M. stands for "ante meridiem" and "post meridiem" respectively. They are Latin terms used to denote when something occurs during the day. A.M. is used to refer to the time period between midnight and noon, while P.M. is used to refer to the time period between noon and midnight. As with most timekeeping systems, the 24-hour clock is used to measure time throughout the world.
a.m. is short for the Latin ante meridiem, meaning “before noon,” which refers to the period from midnight until noon. And, p.m. then? It's short for the Latin phrase post merīdiem meaning “after noon.” Got it. One minute after noon is 12:01 p.m.
