Jo Frost & Glenn & Joey Lynn George putting Savannah on the naughty step when she is too old for it is one of the many reasons why the Supernanny episode “The George Family” was criticized. Those who criticized the episode felt that 10 years old is too old to be disciplined with that technique and that she should have been disciplined with either the Reflection Room or the privilege removal board.
What do you guys think? Do you guys think that Savannah deserved to be on the naughty step and that naughty step timeouts are for naughty children aged 2-17 or do you guys think that putting 10-17 year olds like 10 year old Savannah on the naughty step is child abuse. If you indeed think it’s bad parenting, do you think the George family’s neighbors should have reported this, that Jo, Glenn & Joey Lynn could have faced charges, that they could have been arrested and that Glenn & Joey Lynn could have gotten all of their children (including Krissy) taken away from them?
