Doctor prescribed me for a cataract surgery? Is it painful? Which kind of cataract surgery is the least painful? What are the risks in a cataract eye surgery?

Yes, Cataract Surgery is a bit painful. The extremity of pain depends on the amount of cataract to be removed. If more work there on your eyes then more pain there may be. Overall it's a short time process. Normally a cataract surgery lasts 15-30 minutes.

It is painful, yes. My operation lasted about 20 minutes. The doctor prescribed me to wear blue light blocking glasses when I am near TV or laptop and special glasses for reading. Hope it will help you in your issue. Good luck
